Instead of activity name Alice, the reason Song Joo Hee uses her real name is it was her decision exclusively for musical. There was a lot of case that the fact that Song Joo Hee is Hello Venus member Alice is still not known among audiences.

"The image held by the name Alice was likely to hinder in musical. Moreover, I also join after going to audition, but I'm afraid the audiences will judge me with the reason I'm an idol. So I use real name for this musical. I wanted to start at the same place with other new actors."

Just like other new actors, it's difficult to portray musical long-term race for Song Joo Hee. Because of pressure to have to make the best condition before performance, rather she underwent hardship in condition control, and the burden to do well also was great. Nevertheless, when seeing positive review of audiences, fatigue disappear and she gain strength.

"I am the type to search for almost all review. Even while seeing unpleasant evaluation, I tried to fix it. Among (Choi) Woo Hyuk fan, there is someone that came to watch performance frequently and he/she also came on my first performance. That person that always watched me with expressionless face, raised his/her thumbs to me on the forth performance. I kinda feel proud, and during fan sign event I thanked him/her first and he/she encouraged me to do well until the end. It seems that I really gained a lot of strength at that time."

Either theatre or musical needs to face with audiences' face instead of camera on the stage. Veteran actors meet audiences' eyes purposely and there is also case of them doing communication often however it is a difficult job for still novice actress Song Joo Hee.

"On the stage, I try not to see audiences' face if possible. When we make eye contact, it seems I keep on flustered and caught up. When I see actors that always face the audiences, I think that it seems to be really fun. Anyway, I need to communicate with audiences so I want to try it at least once but I cannot bring myself. It's really difficult now, and I plan to tried it once on my last performance."

Hello Venus members and family also came to watch the performance for supporting Song Joo Hee. The support of members and family became a motive power that can unleash a more developed musical acting for Song Joo Hee.

"The members are really surprised at my appearance. Usually, I'm shy but they are amazed to see I'm like that on stage. After my mother saw the performance, she said my energy is weaker than other musical actors and she pointed out a lot. Just like other actors, I hope the stage can be felt cold during my part. As I'm still inexperienced, I really felt lacking in that part."

Song Joo Hee went side by side for musical and album preparation because Hello Venus are preparing for comeback with new album on second half of year. She will feel physically difficult but she has positive mind that she can do the work that she like at once.

"I am in a situation where I'm still preparing for new album. It's physically difficult but because I do work that I like, it is fun. Musical is a field that I really want to try, and the more I do it, I felt more pleasant. For me, it seems to be more better than doing it side by side with broadcast."

Song Joo Hee will return as Hello Venus leader Alice after all 'All Shook Up' performance finishes. However if she has chance whenever, she plans to go up stage again as musical actress Song Joo Hee.

"Even though there are people that know Hello Venus Alice, there are not many people that know my voice. From now on, I hope I will get chance so that many people will know, and I want to keep on doing musical too. At first I have many worry like what if it is difficult, how to deal if I get into slump. However, I did it really interestingly, next time I want to try for musical."

In the end, Song Joo Hee conveyed her grateful heart towards fans that sent generous support for her.

"When I said I'll be in musical, my fans that know my timid character were really worried. There is also someone that buy all 40 performances in advance to support me. I'm really grateful. Thanks to fans' support, I really gain strength. Moreover, it has been a while for Hello Venus comeback and a new album will come out soon so please wait for a little while"

[Article] Alice as Sandra… Things changed by ‘All Shook Up’ ①

From June, girl group Hello Venus member Alice doesn't use her own name. Of course it's only for a while. She is going up the musical stage with her real name Song Joo Hee instead of her stage name. Because of that, to tell exactly she's active with her real name.

Musical 'All Shook Up' is a show musical of jukebox format that is composed of American rock n roll singer Elvis Presley's hit songs. It's getting many popularity after starting performance domestically from June.

On upcoming August 28, Song Joo Hee's first musical challenge will come to an end. Including practice duration, around 4 months are poured in 'All Shook Up' and her deep emotion was extraordinary. 

"Musical was a field that I really want to try and it's an honour that I get to participate like this. I learnt many things, there was also helpful part for myself and the work itself was pleasant. I received positive energy, and I felt glad that I can do it together with good people."

In 'All Shook Up', character acted by Song Joo Hee, Sandra is a museum curator with overflowing intelligent charm. She is a character that get positive courtship with main actor Elvis and infused energy in the drama. Sandra acted by the existing actress is mature and her glamorous charm stood out however to make Sandra a more suitable character for her, Song Joo Hee attempted an approach with different direction.

"I am the youngest among all actress that had acted as Sandra until now. No matter how I do mature acting, I think young feeling really comes out. When I worry, I left the museum curator role as it is and practised with society beginner feeling. It is a relief that the audiences seem to watch me nicely."

The more she participates in performance, Song Joo Hee was used to musical in a certain level. However she is still nervous on stage, and after the performance finishes, the sense of frustration that she can do better always remain heavily.

"Some day I feel sorry in singing, the other day I feel sorry in other thing. Every time, the things that I am sorry for is different. The musical is an interesting work so I got instruction that it cannot be bored but when I concentrate while reading my line, unknowingly there is sometime the ambience loses. I am always sorry in tat part, and I hope the audiences will laugh at this part but if they didn't laugh as much as I thought they will, it seems that it will remain in my head. However I am the type to forget quickly and make effort."

'All Shook Up' lead actor Elvis role was triple cast to act by group Infinite member Sunggyu, singer Wheesung and actor Choi Woo Hyuk. Song Joo Hee that works together with three of them as Elvis, explained how their style are different.

"I worked well with all of them but especially when acting with Wheesung oppa, I am more comfortable and less tense. (Wheesung) oppa accepts acting so well, and he made me feel like Elvis really like me. (Choi) Woo Hyuk is a professional musical actor so he knows many things, he is younger than me but I am depending on him a lot. Sunggyu oppa is like Elvis himself. During (Sunggyu) oppa performance, many fans came so the reaction is good. I think that it is like real Elvis comes and it is fun."

In 'All Shook Up', besides Sandra there are many female character with various personality such as Sylvia, Lorraine and Matilda. Among them, main lead actress Natalie character is a charming character that many actresses have said to act as her once. Song Joo Hee also had greed for character Natalie, however actually the character that she wants to do is Denis who is male.

"Within the play, Sandra is mainly a functional character, therefore I cannot explain why she fells in love with other character and suddenly express her feeling. On the contrary, Denis or Sylvia has musical songs that shows their feelings and easy to get sympathy of the audiences. It is important for an actor to give off meaning in a character but I still don't have many experiences , so I seem to be insufficient in delivering this kind of part to audiences. So, I hope I can act as a character with clear feeling in next musical."

As this is the first musical that she challenges, everything is difficult for Song Joo Hee. The singing method that she has to show in musical is completely different with singing method during singing. Even though she is the main vocal of Hello Venus, it was a part that is hard to adapt.

"I have to sing as Sandra, but every time I song Sandra comes out. The part which I have to change original singing was difficult. Even though I did acting just fine like when practising, when it comes to singing, I have to sing as Sandra but Sandra's feeling is missing so I was worried. I practised to fix that part in priority."

'All Shook Up' performance that can be watched domestically, doesn't remain that much now. Song Joo Hee introduced this work directly for people that still has not watch 'All Shook Up'.

"It is a good work to be watched by everyone regardless age and gender. Not long ago, I saw an old couple came to watch it and it was really beautiful. In the play, there is family-like love and it is a performance that carry pure love that is hard to see these day. It was mid summer heat but please come to watch it because it is a good work."

Girl group Hello Venus Alice made a successful debut as musical actress.

Musical 'All Shook Up' ended in great success last August 28.

In the play, she met the audiences by portraying beautiful, intelligent and arrogant charm overflowing museum curator Sandra.

Alice portrayed the character naturally with overflowing cunning and bold charm comic acting. She received passing mark in her first musical challenge.

Alice said, "There were lots of difficult and hard parts however there was fun as much as to throw them away. I want to keep on challenging.

[Interview] "Challenging not as an idol but 'Actress Song Joo Hee'"…musical 'All Shook Up' Song Joo Hee

The reason that makes you challenge in musical.
ㄴ I think of it as a chance. I've trained for acting since I was a trainee, but since my full-time job is a singer, it's uncomfortable to act wholeheartedly. Among that, I got to worry about a musical that I can do both singing and acting, and I got to stand on musical stage for the first time through audition. I only thought 'I have to work hard' instead of 'I should make sure to get it'.

You're reported only as your real name 'Song Joo Hee' at the casting board without modifier 'Hello Venus' or 'Alice'. Is it the part that lay the foundation and determination of as actress Song Joo Hee? From now on when you do activity as musical actress, are you going to delete your group name or stage name and do activity with your real name like now?
ㄴ At first I want to use 'Hello Venus' and 'Alice'. Because it's my position as Hello Venus leader. However, for musical audiences that see a person like me on stage for the first time, just in case I'm worry I'll implant prejudice. I use my real name Song Joo Hee with mind that want to prevent that prejudice. Moreover, I want it to mean as a beginning point in the same place with other actors because I went to audition equally and got the role  without any privilege just like other actors. From now on, I'm planning to be active in musical industry as Song Joo Hee.

There were not lots of chances to confirm your singing ability in singer days. There is challenge as musical actress, isn't there any pressure towards your singing ability? What sort of merit do you think you have as a musical actress?
ㄴ It's a lie to say that there's no pressure. It's because it's not the same genre. Musical song is quite different with song. In singing, throwing away the last sound is a technique but if you do that in musical, it's a big problem. Because of that, it's considerably difficult and it's a learning process for things that I don't know throughout performance practice. Fortunately, there are many pop-style musical song in 'All Shook Up', despite it's my first musical, I think I didn't wander a lot.

The part that I worry the most is the part to connect dialogue to singing. I act as Sandra when I say my line, when I pass to a song, I became Hello Venus Alice or Song Joo Hee, so it's my biggest concern. Now also I didn't think that I'm familiar and did well, but the more I repeat the episode, I learn little by little and at the same time I'm improving.

You're appearing with idol senior and musical actor senior Infinite Kim Sung Kyu. Did you listened to many advises? Or advice by other seniors?
ㄴ All seniors gave me many advises. Actually I'm really fear as it's my first challenge. As I'm an idol, don't the actor seniors hate me. And it's my first activity besides group, it might be difficult to adapt. However fortunately all the seniors liked me. Usually I did broadcast acting mainly when practice acting, I'm familiar with detail acting but I'm lacking with part that has to be revealed on stage. I'm lacking with the one that I have to maximise. Senior Jung Chan Woo told me kindly the method to use body on the stage, for example about arm motion and etc.

After that from performance starting and appearing, I have many concerns. After seeing audiences' reaction, I was confused. When I have many thoughts, senior Ryu Soo Hwa gave advice 'Don't forget the part going back as you and act'. Sunggyu oppa also encouraged me with 'I'm also like that when I debuted', 'Don't be too tense and work hard' and etc. Senior Choi Woo Hyuk and senior Wheesung also cheer me a lot. When practising, I received many help from Gahee unnie (Actress Jung Ga Hee). I'm more clumsier than you thought, so when practising I tend to act silly but she arranged, took care and helped me a lot. When practising, she took care of part that can be missed, so I acquired it more faster.

Musical that you first watched is?
ㄴ It was 'Laundry'. It was a musical that I watched 5 years before I debut. Actually every time I watch it I had been watching in audiences' view therefore instead of helping in musical acting directly, theatre going experience  had an indirect effect. Originally to have interest in musical leads to chance for challenging in musical audition, and now it's because it become a motive for me to stand on stage like this. Now I'l really enjoy doing musical , but I think that also is because originated from influence that I like musical usually.

I heard that Hello Venus members came and support your performance not long ago. It seems that your relationship with the members is close.
ㄴ Controlling condition is really important when I do musical performance. I was a bit sensitive in that part. From the first performance, I had symptoms of cold. I should sleep enough, but I have to go to other schedule on the day that I don't have performance. Come to think of it, it's physically really difficult. Usually the members tend to sleep at dawn, but I have to sleep no later that 12 o' clock at midnight so that I can complete the next day schedule. Thankfully even though it's not sleeping time for the members, they switch off the light when they enter the room and create an atmosphere that I can sleep as comfortable as I can. They even consider in dealing with schedule other than performance. The day after performance is the say for Hello Venus recording, they do delicate considerations such as changing recording order. I'm always grateful towards members.

Do you have the most favourite musical song or scene in this work?
ㄴ I like all the musical song so it's hard to choose only one. For scene, around second half of the play, the conversation scene of Jim and Natalie. The town people hurts about love and in the confused situation, Natalie and Jim appear just the of them on the stage. As a father, Jim consoles Natalie, but he didn't directly console about the situation, he said things like, 'I also had a motorcycle, but I quit because of your mother'. It's a very good scene that tell about basic love. It's the most touching scene.

Sandra is a charming character that makes main character Elvis falls in love at the first sight. Not as Sandra but as Song Joo Hee, rationally choose the most charming character in 'All Shook Up'.
ㄴ It's Dennis. In fact, I have greed the most for that character. If I were a boy, it was a character that 

I really want to do. Just like I really want to act as Sylvia now.

The reason you want to act as Sylvia is?
ㄴ She loves Jim but she expresses her heart that she cannot express, with a musical song. Dennis also has that kind of musical song. A musical song that shows his hidden feeling. Sandra doesn't have that kind of musical song because she like and fall in love suddenly. Dennis or Sylvia has behind story, therefore they have musical song that show their exact feeling. If I act that kind of character while singing, won't I be able to express the feeling naturally. There are not lots of drama about Sandra in the script, so I have to give the meaning personally.

Sandra has a feeling like a scene-stealer. The work itself is a bright tone, but when Sandra comes out it becomes more brighter.
ㄴ The director also requested it. Sandra is a stranger, but when Sandra came out even in the midst of gloominess, the atmosphere wanted to reverse. The village stranger is just Elvis and Sandra.

The most difficult thing while you act as Sandra is?
ㄴ I always listen to word 'Do it without thinking' while I'm acting as Sandra. Sandra is a stranger so, there has to be clear reversal every time she appears in the drama. It seems to be the most difficult in entrance for people that acts. Originally I heard they said to do it just like my appearance. It's because I want to do an acting that is meaningful and has story. That part is still a bit difficult.

Establish a history about Sandra?
ㄴ Sandra in the performance before this, was described as beauty of maturity and intelligent person. I'm more younger than the seniors that took Sandra role previously, so I didn't match with mature feel. So I try to create appearance of young Sandra. She's a newcomer in the society but enter with first job as curator. That workplace was the other area that broke her away from her hometown, and it's a job that needs her to always smile and be kind, so she became a lonely person. And she had uneasy feeling of beginner characteristic.

Sandra saw Elvis and hate him suddenly without any reason. So to make history my own way about that part, before coming to this village Sandra had a belated love for the first time and received hurt from a good-looking man. I'm establishing and acting as a woman that has complex towards good-looking man.

Actually I made a lot of meaning like this but it was really difficult when I heard comment 'do it thoughtlessly'. I understand well the meaning of seniors or director, but it's quite difficult part in entrance of first acting. If there's a career, I think that Sandra is 'functional character' and I would think about the advises naturally, but as it's my first performance, I had greed and I felt a bit difficult.

You've work experience as a singer, you seem to be used to stand on the stage.
ㄴ No. It's unfamiliar. My familiar with the stage itself, but until now the stage that I stand on is in front of camera not audience. I don't have many stage that communicate with audience. I'm familiar to communicate with camera. But musical is a stage that communicate with audiences, and it's my first time on this type of stage. I can see the expression of audiences that seat at the front row but I don't see them purposely. It's still unfamiliar to communicate, so I don't see them purposely in case I think of other things while acting. When I'm familiar, I want to create a stage that communicate while seeing audiences reaction.

Grand Theater Hongik University Art Center has a near stage and audience seat compared ro other theater.
ㄴ That's right. At first I was scared because audiences that sit at two front rows seem to look at me with raised eyes. I thought they're like that because I made mistake (laugh).

You met a character of pretty and charming image named Sandra. Next time, do you have greed to challenge with breaking away from external image or with serious song or acting?
ㄴ Of course I challenge in musical with that kind of greed. I want to communicate with audiences and improve my stage experience. My stage experience doesn't seem to increase when I stand on stage as Hello Venus. Camera technique is to be skilled. It's not established feeling about performance. Originally I made challenge because I had greed for musical genre. As I did a character with different image of mine, I don't think it won't support my performance part. I'm thinking that I can portray it as well as growing fully.

The charm of musical 'All Shook Up' is?
ㄴ It's a drama with overflowing 'love' that is needed the most by this generation. It's a work that can be watched regardless of gender. Actually my mother had watched the performance already and my nephews/nieces also will come to watch it. It's performance that can be enjoyed by anyone from kid until adult. It's a musical that talks about love without condition, so I hope many people regardless of gender and age will come to watch it.

We're curious about your next activity.
ㄴ I'll keep on challenging for musical. If I end this character well, won't I be able to meet the audiences with a more developed appearance. This performance has a total of 40 performances, but next time I want to try as Sandra again after 40 performances end. At that time, won't I be able to do better than now. This month, Hello Venus will release one more music track (Paradise). When the musical ended, we'll do activity on full scale.

ㄴ The fans came to watch it. They're also there to support. I'm very thankful. It seems that the fans that came to watch the first performance were really shocked. I really liked it as I can show part that I cannot show usually. Thank to fans, I'm getting the strength every time. I heard that there are people that reserved all 40 performances. I'm really thankful. And soon Hello Venus album also will come out, I want to tell them to wait.

When Song Joo Hee was casted as 'Sandra', an arrogant curator in musical 'All Shook Up', a questioning reaction was great majority. The fault of unfamiliar name. The main character is 'Hello Venus' Alice(26).

Song Joo Hee that was met in Daehangno recently said, "The genre of song and musical are different. While I debut as musical actress, I hope you'll look at me without prejudice". Her wish went through. In spite being in her musical debut work, she showed strong singing and acting ability, and made a soft landing.

Musical is a product of agony about her identity. This year she had debuted for 4 years. Last year, as idol and team leader Song Joo Hee with deep worry recalled, "I agonised about the thing that I really want to do".

"I'm the youngest in my house. I grew up like the only daughter because I have 12 years difference with my elder sister. But when I enter Hello Venus, I was appointed as leader. As much as she's the team lead vocal, the feeling that wants to get recognition with singing is rolling. Agency Fantagio is acting-based agency, so greed occurred as an actress too. Then musical comes up. She said with glittering eyes, "I can sing, I can act, I can gain stage experience and to do all of this at the same time is very difficult however I'm participating with the mind of I'm learning."

Sandra is a museum curator with intelligent charm and glamorous look. In reality, actresses of mature atmosphere acted for Sandra mainly. Poverty in the midst of plenty, she's seen as workaholic that avoid man and a perfectionist but in fact she is a character with lots of loneliness. After meeting a man of lyrical sensibility that reads Shakespeare's sonnet, she suddenly changes positively.

Song Joo Hee's Sandra is more brightened. In a way, idol that enjoys popularity anywhere she goes, it's like her appearance. "As I'm acting Sandra as she is, it doesn't feel natural to me. I added cute and young feel. She became a curator when she was young and came to area without an acquaintance, so she though she's a character that get lonely. However, when she met a man that appreciates her, the easy-going and active original her came out. She's not a character that changes suddenly."

'All Shook Up' is a cheerful jukebox musical filled with hit song of 'Rock n Roll Prince' Elvis Presley (1935~1977). "It's not classic musical song, fortunately it's pop-style musical song so I'm learning little by little enjoyably". Song Joo Hee said the more she goes up the stage, she envies the energy of musical actors. "Of course I'm still difficult. Every time I watch the seniors' acting and singing which is overflowing with immersion, I worry deeply and think."

Every time she has free time, she looks around for musical. The musical that she wants to appear the most now is musical 'Wicked'. She wants to act as lively and off the wall but pure charm white witch 'Glinda'. The name Alice is given because the agency president said Song Joo Hee is off the wall and it's a name quoted from 'Alice in the Wonderland'. 'All Shook Up' is a jukebox musical depicting the story while icon of generation Elvis Presley enter an unknown village before debuting. The work has been constantly loved after being shown within the country first in 2007 as non-replica version.

Many actors went through every character. It's the same for arrogant and intelligent curator Sandra. That much the colour of the character become firm. In Sandra case, she had been receiving 'All Shook Up' fans love with a character that is intelligent and arrogant, as well as girl crush charm stands out. But for Sandra with Song Joo Hee style, "lovable" is spilled an entirely different evaluation.

It is 'fresh' to give a change to a firm character, while she can get positive criticism, if she cannot harmonise with the play, it can be shown through as 'lack of acting skill'. In her first musical challenge, it's clear that to change an existing character is a big adventure.

"I have to show an arrogant appearance but if I open my mouth, that feeling doesn't come out. As I do practice with existing girl crush Sandra feeling, I feel like I wear clothes that doesn't suit me. So I gave change with a bit more lovable and extraordinary and fortunately until now I'm being relieved with many positive evaluation."

The reason Song Joo Hee challenges for musical is she wants to acquire 'performance experience'. As girl group Hello Venus member that has been on stage for hundreds time, the answer is somewhat unexpected. Song Joo Hee explained, "The performance done with member is as arranged, it has familiar feeling more than gaining experience feeling. So I want to experience a totally different performance and I wanted to do musical."

For Song Joo Hee that needs to divide 3 minute song with members, she sings several musical songs for more than 2 hours and cannot help but to feel burdensome to do musical that has to face the audience. Especially keeping condition is the biggest homework for her.

"Actually if I point out difficult thing,  I can speak that it's all. All is difficult. Among them, the most difficult is self management. I have to always maintain the best condition. Actually, during group activity, other member will sing my part if my condition is not good but it's impossible here. On the day that my condition is not good, I know my state will be revealed through microphone without reserve therefore I'm more insecure on day like that and it's difficult."

Is it because her character that seek for perfection usually. When Song Joo Hee goes up the stage, she's seized with anxiety. The more the audience, her anxiety grows more bigger. The thought of 'By any chance I make a mistake, didn't I become a disappointment', makes her more nervous.

Song Joo Hee recalled her first performance that was done with Infinite Sunggyu and sighed. She hinted at her regretful heart, "After doing around 10 performances, I thought that I adapted to communicate with audience now but not long ago, after first performance with Infinite Sunggyu oppa, I thought that 'I am still far'. If I do with Sunggyu oppa, the audience reaction is good and interesting but after seeing many audience and the reaction is good, rather I was so tense. In the end, I think I did the worst that day".

It's clear that it's a difficult challenge. After performance, she recalls the regretful scene and shed tears because of being upset. Nevertheless, she doesn't want to stop. She said, "It's as fun as all difficulties are blown away. Preparing with the actors for a long time and then when it progresses like a cogwheel on the stage, I feel big joy as much as I got goosebumps. Isn't the feeling of accomplishment that makes everyone goes up the stage even though it's difficult", expressing her love in musical.

Now Song Joo Hee is going side by side between 'All Shook Up' performance and Hello Venus new song recording. She said, "I want to take strong energy belongs to musical actors in Hello Venus stage.", and conveyed her wish. Even so, she expressed the difficulty in different vocalisation of musical and singer. 

"As a singer, it's a technique to throw away the last sound but in musical, you really had a hard time if you did it. But at the time of performance, I start to record for Hello Venus new song and went to recording room but this time I maintain the last sound and got pointed out to 'throw it away'. I was a but confused but I can adapted now. Haha. While doing musical, my stage concentration increases and I want to do Hello Venus stage quickly. I want to feel the changed one." 

When 'All Shook Up' 40th performance finished, we're curious about evaluation that Song Joo Hee wants to receive. More than praise, she is hoping Sandra that she acts will absorb in the work . "Sandra acted by me is different with the original Sandra so clearly there's anyone that's awkward. Nevertheless when the 40th performance is filled, I hopes the cute and lovable Sandra acted by Song Joo Hee will get a place in audiences' subconscious mind. At the same time, I have no other hope except to be remembered as a character without splashing and absorbed well."

'All Shook Up' is a work that is like a surprise gift for Song Joo Hee. It's because she went for audition but didn't know she'll get it, and before starting she was afraid that she cannot adapt but she met precious seniors and learnt a lot of things. 

"For me 'All Shook Up' is a work that makes me looks forward to 40th performance and makes me want to keep on doing musical. I think that it's a relief my start of musical is 'All Shook Up'. Adaptation is not difficult because of actors that are together and a lot of pop-style elements on the musical song. If it's a tradition musical, I think I'll be really stressed out and cannot enjoy the performance. There's a lot of things to be thankful to Sandra" 

In the end, musical actress Song Joo Hee pointed out 'Wicked' as a musical work that she really wants to appear now and with overflowing confidence, she expressed her greed towards charming white witch Glinda. As the reason she said, "we have a lot of similar points". Also instead of her wish to stand on musical stage for a long time she said, "It's difficult to portray now but I want to make sure to challenge for the owner of the town bar and Lorraine's mother, Sylvia."

Song Joo Hee's first musical debut work 'All Shook Up' will be performed at Seoul Hongik University Art Center Grand Theater until upcoming August 28.

[Interview] Hello Venus Alice "Musical is a 'chance' for me"

Her reversal charm is blowing up. Hello Venus Alice took action in her first musical debut with musical 'All Shook Up'. She is meeting the audience with her real name Song Joo Hee. We cannot smell girl group's fragrance from Song Joo Hee on stage.

Musical 'All Shook Up' is a jukebox musical packed with Elvis Presley's classics song. Before debuting, icon of generation Elvis Presley went to an unknown village and draw the developed story. - With what reason that you challenged for musical?

"Fantagio which is famous as actor agency is my agency. So I've been learning about acting since when I was a trainee. I also made appearance in web drama 'After School Lucky-or-not 2' and drama 'The Night Watchman's Journal' and etc. Musical is a field that do both acting and singing simultaneously so I thought that it'll be fun. Opportunity for audition came naturally and I the greed to do it appears."

- You're the youngest among actress that take Sandra role.

"Sandra is pretty, sexy and intelligent. She's an fantasy-like existence of all men in the village. After watching other seniors perform on stage in previous season, the age group of the character is high. I'm 27 years old but they see me as an idol, my way of speaking and appearance also seems to be more younger. I agonised a lot. So the given conclusion 'Let's not pretend to be older and life energy is accumulated forcefully.' I am setting up and acting as curator that just live her social life."

- Song and musical is different from vocalisation.

"I was used to singing song, so I underwent hardship in the beginning. Song is expressing emotion with technical. I throw away my breathing, I deliver my heart with giving the tremble of my voice but musical is different. As it is a stage song, my voice has to be loud and my pronunciation need to be accurate, I have to even express emotion. During audition, singing was more difficult than acting"

- You are natural on stage. It seems that you practise a lot.

"In the beginning, I put on many efforts. During acting I'm Sandra, but I 'm Song Joo Hee when I sing. While watching musical actress Jung Ga Hee unnie that was casted for same role, I received help. She makes the song as she wants from beginning until the end. I envy her strength to drag the song until the end. I'm learning a lot beside her. I'm still trying."

- Lead character Elvis enormously trying to win Sandra heart. What about your impression about working together with Kim Sung Kyu and Wheesung as Elvis?

"Wheesung oppa feels really like he follow Sandra around. The energy together is really good. He did the expression the he likes greatly, so I'm comfortable and grateful to act with him. Sunggyu oppa is cute. I think that he really is like Elvis than the feeling that he like Sandra. He somehow has feeling like a real neighbourhood star"

- When you act, what is the part that you take care the most?

"'All Shook Up' is a comedy genre. There are points that the audiences burst into laughter, at some point I become obsessed for laughter of  the auditorium. Unknowingly, I get to look whether the audiences laugh or not, and I got to discover that I'm trying to be funny. Now I have to practice for melting the whole play."

-What type of person is the actual Song Joo Hee?

"I always heard that I'm arrogant, quiet and looks cold. Maybe it's because I'm Hello Venus leader, so in public I always show my appearance of taking care and arranging the members. Originally my personality is easy-going. When unavoidable, I also whine to the younger one."

- The members came to support on the set.

"They cannot come during first stage because they have schedule. They are really sorry for that. They came and hand out rice cake and write letter one by one to all actors and staffs. I thought that indeed they are the best."

- Recently Hello Venus member Nara is receiving public attention.

"We debut on 2012, the struggling hard kids are seeing the light gradually. Nara and I are the oldest two in our team. I thought that it's a relief that the unnies are getting the seat quickly and are doing well."

Group Hello Venus visits musical 'All Shook Up' performance place and supported Song Joo Hee (Alice).

According to 'All Shook Up' production company on 26th June, girl group Hello Venus visited performance place to support Song Joo Hee on 25th June. The members conveyed their heart with support rice cake that have message written by themselves for 'All Shook Up' actors and staff.

Hello Venus members didn't forget the word of request like, "Please take care of our Song Joo Hee Sandra", and continued enthusiastic support with message like, "Please take care of Sandra Song Joo Hee. All Shook Up fighting!", "Please take care of Sandra. All Shook Up is the best!"

Especially after watching the performance, Yeoreum conveyed, "It was fun and touching perfect musical. I want to try Sandra role once", Lime recommended, "The song that I know comes out, so it was a performance that makes my eyes and ears pleasant. I hope many people will watch it". Yooyoung also praised the musical highly, "The performance has ended for a while but my heart is still pounding. It's a cheerful and fun musical that times passes really fast."

Hello Venus members pointed out 'Let Yourself Go' and 'Can't Help Falling in Love' that were sung by Sandra as the most impressive.
